Twitter (X) advanced search builder

X's advanced search is powerful and hard to remember. Fill in the fields, and this builds the query with the right operators. Copy it or open it on X. Nothing you type leaves your browser until you open the search.

from:, min_faves:, since: ... I remember them so you don't have to.

How to use it

  1. Fill in only the fields you need: words, an exact phrase, an account, a minimum like count, dates.
  2. The query builds as you type.
  3. Press Open on X to run it, or copy the query to save it.

Good to know

  • Quote an exact phrase and add "any of these words" for variants: (price OR pricing OR cost).
  • Set a minimum number of likes to skip the noise and find the posts that landed.
  • Save the query text. X's search is for looking things up; to be told about new matches, a tool that watches for you does that part.

Do I need an X account?

To run the search on X, you may be asked to sign in, depending on X's current rules. Building the query here needs nothing.

Why isn't it searching for me?

This page builds the query and hands it to X. It doesn't run the search itself, so it can't hit X's limits or see anything X wouldn't show you.

Can I watch a search and be told about new posts?
