Social listening for product marketers
Sniffington watches public posts about your brand, your competitors and the phrases buyers use to compare options, across eleven platforms. It rules out namesakes and keyword noise with a reason for each, so what is left is customer language you can read, filter and quote.
Customer language and objections, in order
Every kept post shows what the author wrote, a link to the source, a sentiment and a category: Complaint, Feature request, Comparison, Buying intent, Praise and more. Filter to one, then sort by urgency or engagement, and the pricing complaint with real reach sits above the passing mention. False claims have their own category, Misinformation.
Your brand, your rivals and the category, side by side
Keep your own names in My brand, the companies you compete with in Competitors, and the phrases buyers search in a topic group, like "best invoicing app" or "[rival] alternative". Add a rival by its website and Sniffington fills in its handles. Each group has its own filter and count.
Rivals, tagged by what people are doing
New posts about a competitor are tagged complaint, praise, looking for an alternative or pricing talk. Filter to looking for an alternative to see who is leaving a rival, and to complaints for the objections you can answer.
Rivals over time
Analytics charts share of voice by week for your brand and each competitor. A one-page brief per competitor cites every post it uses, and a weekly competitor digest by email, Slack, Discord or Microsoft Teams lists each rival's most urgent posts with links.
When a rival changes its pricing page
Add a rival's pricing page or home page and Sniffington reports a price or headline change once it holds across two checks, with before and after. It reads prices that are in the page's HTML, so a page that draws its prices with JavaScript may show none.
Launch day, watched
Set an instant alert for negative or urgent posts before you ship. The reaction reaches Slack, Discord, Microsoft Teams or email as it is found, and a daily digest collects the rest. Checks run on a schedule rather than as a live stream: daily on Founder, as often as every 6 hours on Portfolio and Agency.
Namesakes and keyword noise, ruled out
A brand name that is also a word floods a feed. Describe your product in a line and say what it gets confused with. Sniffington reads every post against that, keeps the ones about you, and lists the rest under Ruled out with a sentence saying why. One click restores a post it got wrong.
Comparison and alternative threads
The threads where someone asks which tool to pick, or weighs two against each other, are the ones worth reading before you rewrite a message. A topic keyword keeps every public post that contains the phrase, so you read the whole comparison conversation and not only the posts that name you.
Eleven platforms, each searched its own way
Reddit threads and their comments, Hacker News stories and comments, X posts with the post they quote, LinkedIn posts by people you do not follow, YouTube videos and comments, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Threads, Bluesky and Google News. Ten come with every plan, and the paid plans add Facebook.
Into your own research and tools
Export what a filter matches as CSV or JSON for a research doc or a deck. The REST API and signed webhooks feed your own dashboards. Connect Claude, ChatGPT or a coding agent over MCP and ask what people said about the launch this week.

Questions
Does it track my competitors?
Yes, through what people post about them. Add their names, domains and handles as keywords in a Competitors group and their posts arrive in the same feed as yours. It reads public posts that mention them.
How do I find the phrases buyers use?
Add comparison phrases such as "[rival] alternative" or "[category] for [job]" as topic keywords. Sniffington keeps every public post containing the words and ranks each by how close the author is to choosing a tool.
Which platforms does it cover?
Eleven: Reddit, X, TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Threads, Bluesky, Hacker News and news. Facebook is on the paid plans.
Will it post or reply for me?
No. It never posts anything. You read the conversation and decide what to do with it.
What does it cost?
The Free plan watches one brand with no card. Founder is $19 a month for one brand with 50 keywords. Portfolio is $79 a month for 5 brands, which suits covering several products.
Type your brand. See who's talking.
Free for one brand. Upgrade when it earns its keep.
