Connect it in a minute
- Add this to .vscode/mcp.json in your project:
{ "servers": { "sniffington": { "type": "http", "url": "https://sniffington.com/mcp" } } } - VS Code asks you to sign in when the server starts. Use it from Copilot's agent mode.
We test Sniffington's MCP server with the official MCP Inspector, signing in with OAuth and with API keys. These steps follow VS Code's own setup docs; if something doesn't match what you see, tell us.

Questions
Does connecting VS Code cost extra?
No. The MCP server comes with every plan, Free included.
Can VS Code post for me?
No. Sniffington never posts anything anywhere. Agents can read mentions, mark them done or follow-up, manage brands and keywords, and sniff any brand.
Can I give it read-only access?
Yes. Pick Read only on the consent screen, or use a read-only API key (ss_ro_…). Read-only connections don't even see the write tools.
Can I disconnect it later?
Yes. Workspace owners see every connected app under Integrations → MCP in the app and can disconnect any of them at once.
