About twitter (x) search
Do I need an X account?
No. Sniffington reads X's public posts for you, so this page is all you need.
Does it search the whole phrase or each word?
The whole phrase. Type invoice reminders and you get posts that contain those two words together. Retweets are left out so you don't see the same post twice.
Can I use operators like from: and min_faves:?
Not here. Our twitter advanced search builder writes those queries for you and opens them on X itself.
What does “Rule out namesakes” do?
It reads the newest 18 results against a line about your brand and sets aside the ones that only share the name, with a note on each. It's the same check Sniffington runs on every post in the app. Three a day, no sign-up.
Why only five searches a day?
X charges us for every search, so visitors get five a day across the paid platforms, with no account. Bluesky and Hacker News search have a much higher limit. Sign up free and Sniffington does the searching for you, on every platform, every week.
