Pass --json to any command for machine-readable output. The sniff command talks to the MCP server at https://sniffington.com/mcp, same as the AI agents.
Questions
Does the CLI cost extra?
No. It talks to the same API as the app and the MCP server. Every plan works, Free included.
Can I use it in scripts?
Yes. Pass --json and every command prints one JSON document instead of text. Pipe it into jq, feed it to a cron job, or read it from another tool.
Where does the key go?
~/.config/sniffington/config.json, mode 0600. The key never leaves your machine except as the Authorization header to sniffington.com.
Can I point it at a self-hosted instance?
Yes. Pass --url or set SNIFFINGTON_URL. The CLI talks to whatever address you give it.
