Connect it in a minute
- Add this to ~/.codex/config.toml:
[mcp_servers.sniffington] url = "https://sniffington.com/mcp" - Then run codex mcp login sniffington to sign in with your browser.
Rather use a key? Set bearer_token_env_var = "SNIFFINGTON_API_KEY" instead of signing in.
We test Sniffington's MCP server with the official MCP Inspector, signing in with OAuth and with API keys. These steps follow Codex's own setup docs; if something doesn't match what you see, tell us.

Questions
Does connecting Codex cost extra?
No. The MCP server comes with every plan, Free included.
Can Codex post for me?
No. Sniffington never posts anything anywhere. Agents can read mentions, mark them done or follow-up, manage brands and keywords, and sniff any brand.
Can I give it read-only access?
Yes. Pick Read only on the consent screen, or use a read-only API key (ss_ro_…). Read-only connections don't even see the write tools.
Can I disconnect it later?
Yes. Workspace owners see every connected app under Integrations → MCP in the app and can disconnect any of them at once.
