Business name generator
Describe what the business does and get twelve name ideas. Then do what other generators don't: check how many posts already use each name for something else.
A name nobody can find is a bad name. Let's find a few, then check them.
How to use it
- Say what the business does, in a sentence.
- Pick a tone, and add any words you'd like to see in the name.
- Press the button, copy the ones you like, and use Check how crowded to see who already uses them.
Good to know
- Say or write each name out loud before you fall for it. If you have to spell it twice, drop it.
- A name that's also a common word is hard to search for. The crowding check shows how many posts already use it for something else.
- This is where the check earns its keep: a name crowded with other meanings is also a name every alert tool will drown in.
About the Business name generator
Does it check trademarks or domains?
The ideas are written by an AI. They're suggestions, not checked against trademarks, domains or handles, so check those before you commit.
What does "Check how crowded" do?
It opens our business name checker, which reads the past 30 days of public posts on Reddit, Hacker News and Bluesky and shows how many mean a company by that name and how many mean something else. It's three a day.
Is it free?
Yes. You get ten rounds of ideas a day with no account. Each round gives you a fresh list.
How does it come up with business names?
An AI model reads what you describe and writes a list. The same description gives a different list each time, so run it again if nothing clicks.
Do you keep what I type?
No. We don't store your description or the results. A daily count and a scrambled version of your IP address enforce the ten-a-day limit.
