News search

Search recent news articles for a brand, a name or a topic. Each result shows the outlet, the headline and a snippet, newest first.

Public posts only. Five searches a day on the paid platforms, no sign-up. Rule out namesakes: three a day.

If the press has it, I'll find it.

About news search

Where do the articles come from?

Google's news results, read for you. Each result links to the outlet's own page.

Can I sort by most read?

No. News results don't come with read counts, so the order is newest first.

What does “Rule out namesakes” do?

It reads the newest 18 results against a line about your brand and sets aside the ones that only share the name, with a note on each. It's the same check Sniffington runs on every post in the app. Three a day, no sign-up.

Why only five searches a day?

News search charges us for every search, so visitors get five a day across the paid platforms, with no account. Bluesky and Hacker News search have a much higher limit. Sign up free and Sniffington does the searching for you, on every platform, every week.

Want this every day?

The free plan watches one brand on all ten platforms, weekly. No card.
