The code behind Sniffington is public under the AGPL. Run it on your own server with your own data keys, or let us host it for you.
Running in three commands

cp .env.example .env # add the keys you have
docker compose up -dOpen http://localhost:8787, create the owner account and add a brand. Without Docker you need Node 24 or newer and nothing else; there are no npm dependencies. Everything lives in SQLite files under /data, so a backup is a copy of that folder.
The keys you bring
Every platform is optional, and one without a key is skipped. Reddit, Hacker News and news need no key. X and TikTok run cheapest through treg; YouTube has a free daily quota from Google; ScrapeCreators covers TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, Threads and LinkedIn. The AI check works with any OpenAI-compatible endpoint, including a local model.
Our own four brands cost about $3 a month in data fees at daily scans.

Licence
AGPL-3.0. If you run a modified version as a network service, the licence asks you to offer its source to your users. Contributions come in under a contributor licence agreement, which lets us keep offering the hosted app alongside the open code.
